Just finished One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich by Alexander Solzhenitsyn
Great story.
Despite the tremendous hardship he endures, Shukhov still finds aspects of his day he can enjoy. An interesting mix of resignation to his fate combined with moments of appreciation.

Recently finished book: The Hunter, The Hammer, and Heaven - Journeys to Three Worlds Gone Mad by Robert Young Pelton

Interesting book, particularly the first two sections. Mr. Pelton has a lot of guts to journey to Chechnya.
